Imagine a choir of children and youth from age 8 to 18 in colorful outfits who through enchanting voices and electrifying dances exude joy. Through a fusion of modern and African musical instruments and other global influences, the Raise the Roof Academy Choir takes you on a meticulously choreographed musical journey that lets you experience what God is doing in villages you have yet to visit. Each member of the Raise the Roof Academy Choir has a unique story of God’s goodness and is the face of the most promising generation Africa has ever known. These talented children are living proof that a school is the surest hope to strengthen families and our relationship with God and God’s hurting world. The Raise the Roof Academy Choir will inspire you and enlarge your vision through the universal language of music and story.


  • "If you could see joy it would look like the faces of the RTRA choir as they share their beautiful voices with others. Last summer I was blessed to be a part of the annual mission trip to Raise the Roof Academy in Uganda. My assignment was to get to know the choir members who would be coming to the U.S., meet some of their families and answer their questions. I’d serve as a link to the far-off place they would visit on the 2026 tour of the southeast U.S. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they shared their hopes for the trip, I was struck not only by their incredible talent, but by their faith and generosity in sharing their gift with others.
